    • Professors: Focus more on active research/contributions (58%)
  • Strategic Implications:

    • Senior faculty are expected to lead and contribute actively to research/scholarship.
    • The system encourages career progression through increased research activity.

Research Publications (International Focus)

  • International Journal (SCOPUS/WoS): 8 points
  • Local Journal (DOAJ-indexed): 5 points
  • Conference Papers: 7 points (international conferences prioritised)
  • Books/Chapters: 12 points (international publishers preferred)
  • Patents: 12 points (international), 8 points (local)

Academic Seminars and Conferences

  • Department Seminar Attendance: 1 point
  • Department Seminar Presentation: 3 points
  • Conference Participation (with paper): 2 points/day + publication bonus
  • International Workshop Participation: 2 points/day (max 10 days)

Professional Development Activities

  • Training Course Participation: 1-2 points/week
  • Editorial Board Membership: 1-2 points (international prioritised)
  • Peer Review Activities: 1-2 points per review
  • Committee Service: 1-3 points (based on level: department/university/ministry)

Academic Supervision and Assessment

  • PhD Supervision: 3 points
  • Master's Supervision: 2 points

Performance Classifications and Consequences

Grade A* (Outstanding): >80% of requirements + Grade A in SF*

Grade A (Excellent): Meeting requirements (25-79 points as per rank)

  • Rights preserved, no questioning
  • Positive annual evaluation

Grade B (Satisfactory): 72-99% of requirements

  • Professional development support
  • Second consecutive year → escalates to Grade C

Grade C (Underperforming): 48-71% of requirements

  • Consequences:
    • Teaching prohibition: 3 months
    • Salary deduction during suspension
    • Administrative position restrictions (1 year)
    • International travel prohibition
  • Second occurrence: 1-year teaching prohibition

Grade D (Poor): 24-47% of requirements

  • Teaching prohibition: 6 months
  • Automatic escalation to Grade C consequences

Grade E (Failing): 0-23% of requirements

  • Formal negligence proceedings
  • 1-year teaching prohibition
  • Second occurrence: Permanent teaching removal with alternative assignment
